Description	:	Ada J. Chase Ada J. Chase,88 of Dillsboro, passed away Saturday at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She and her husband, the late Artie Dale Chase, formerly owned and operated the Clover Farm Store in East Enterprise and also operated a store in Dillsboro. She was a member of the East Enterprise Methodist Church and Dillsboro Senior Citizen Club. Survivors include three daughters, Helen Scudder of Orlando, Fla., Jerie Ann Anglebeck, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thelma Scudder, of Dillsboro; one brother, Park Byram, of East Enterprise; one sister, Mary Blodgett, of route 4, Vevay; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of the East Enterprise Methodist Church and Dillsboro Senior Citizen Club. Survivors include three daughters, Helen Scudder of Orlando, Fla., Jerie Ann Anglebeck, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thelma Scudder, of Dillsboro; one brother, Park Byram, of East Enterprise; one sister, Mary Blodgett, of route 4, Vevay; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday from Ullrich- Filter Funeral Home in Dillsbor with burial in the Vevay Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dillsboro Emergency Unit or the Dillsboro Fire Department Obituary Ada June Chase, a resident at Dillsboro Manor and a long-time resident of Dillsboro, Indiana passed away on Saturday January 26, 1985, at the Dearborn County Hospital, at the age of 88 years. She was born October 26, 1896, to Seth and Janie Pendry Byram in Switzerland County, Indiana. Ada and Artie Dale Chase of East Enterprise, Indiana, were joined in holy matrimony on December 20, 1917. Art passed away on October 6, 1970 and is buried in Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana. And to their happy marriage were born four children, three daughters and a son. Their son Ernest Lee Chase, passed away at the age of 16 years in 1938 and is buried next to Art in Vevay, Indiana. Ada is survived by her daughters: Helen Scudder of Orlando, Florida; Thelma C. Scudder of Dillsboro; and Jerie Ann Angleback of Phoenix, Arizona; two son-in-laws: Marshall W. Scudder, husband of Helen, and Myron Scudder, husband of Thelma; one brother, Park Byram of East Enterprise and a sister-in-law, Pearl Byram of East Enterprise; one sister, Mary Blodgett and a brother-in-law, Dawson Blodgett of Bennington, Indiana; and sister-in-law, Mayme Corson of Columbus, Indiana. She is also survived by five granddaughters: Tina Althoff of Aurora, Indiana; Kathy Herny of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; Jane Jenda of Detriot, Michigan; Nancy Angleback of Phoenix, Arizona and Kelly Angleback of Phoeniz, Aziona; and four great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Ada was a life member of the East Enterprise Methodist Church but also attended the Dillsboro United Methodist Church. She was active in the Dillsboro United Methodist Women, and a homemaker's club, R.S.V.P. and the Dillsboro Senior Citizens' Club. Art and Ada had owned and operated a Clover Leaf Farm grocery store at East Enterprise and later at Dillsboro for many years until their retirement. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage at the time of Art's death. Ada leaves a host of many friends and relatives and will be missed by us all, for she was loved dearly by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the Ulrich- Filter Funeral Home in Dillsboro, on Tuesday, January 29, 1985, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Arnold Cutter and Rev. Norris Keirn officiating.
