Read More	Ada Louisa Smith Ackerman Obit Milford – Ada Louisa (Smith) Ackerman, daughter of Frank and Lucinda Smith was both September 21, 1879 near Hainesville, Illinois. She passed away in Milford, November 3, 1962 at the age of 83 years, one month and 13 days. In 1887 she moved with her parents and family to this area settling on a farm southwest of Milford. She was united in marriage to Abraham Ackerman on February 23, 1898. To this union was born five sons and four daughters. They lived on a farm for many years and moved to Milford in 1945. In her youth, she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior. The strength received from this close fellowship with her Master carried her through the many problems and trials of life. She later joined the Assembly of God Church and was a loyal member until her passing. She was a faithful, kind and loving mother. Her Godly influence and the Christian heritage which she leaves will be treasured by her children, grandchildren, and her many friends and neighbors. She was always concerned for the welfare of others. She had a deep interest in missions and for the less fortunate. She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons and two daughters, Jesse E., Ruth L., (Mrs. Floyd Roll), Esther L, Walter M., and Paul L., all of Milford. Also twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1946 two sons, two daughters and one grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church, Rev. Paul Sherman and Rev. Earl White Officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Milford.
