Description	:	Ada Pauline Richards of 611 N. 6th St., died Wednesday, June 27, at Sterling Regional MedCenter. She was 82. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday from First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Ivan E. Rundus, D.D., officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Richards was born June 13, 1908, in High Point, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Marion and Lola Ellen Fitch Davis, moved to the homestead 26 miles northwest of Sterling with her parents in 1911. Mrs. Richards was born June 13, 1908, in High Point, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Marion and Lola Ellen Fitch Davis, moved to the homestead 26 miles northwest of Sterling with her parents in 1911. She graduated from Graylin High School in 1926 and married Orlow Z. Richards, June 16, 1926, at Fort Morgan. She was a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and taught many years at Padroni and Pantell Elementary School (now Stevens Elementary School), retiring in 1972. Mr. Richards died Aug. 12, 1972. She also wrote the book "Homestead Days and Future Dreams" depicting her life growing up in Colorado. She also helped write the Sterling and Logan County Centennial books and Bi-Centennial book. Mrs. Richards was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, served as a Deacon and Elder, the Business and Professional Women's Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Does Drove Unit No. 213, Rebekah Lodge, did volunteer work at the Overland Trail Museum and Rose Arbor Manor. She is survived by two sons, Lowell A. Richards of Denver and Leland C. Richards of Grand Junction; two daughters, Lois E. Todd of San Diego, Calif., and H. Joan Dalley of Davis, Okia.; two sisters, Opal Countryman of Sterling and Helena Zellars of Agency, Iowa; a brother, Frank Davis of Chariton, Iowa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Chancy-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
