Born in Foreston, Ill., Dec. 7, 1873, she was married to Edwin Ryner, Jan. 26, 1899. They lived on a farm in the Rudd vicinity 40 years and retired to Rockford 21 years ago. Surviving are her husband, a brother, W.W. Piper, Castlewood. S.D.; and a sister, Mrs. Edna Brandt, Foreston, Ill. Mrs. Ryner was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Methodist Church. The Re.v. George Baker will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery with Weaver Funeral Home in charge. -------------- Freeport Journal-Standard Freeport, Illinois Tuesday, February 9, 1960 Freeport And Area Obituarites Mrs. Ryner FORRESTON - Mrs. Ada May Ryner, a former resident of Forreston, died Sunday in Rockford Dec. 7, 1974, the daughter of Daniel J. and Amelia Hummel Piper. She married Edwin L. Ryner of Pennsylvania Jan. 26, 1899. the Ryners farmed near Rudd, Iowa, until moving to Rockford in 1940. She was a member of Rockford, Iowa, Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid Society, the Woman's Society of Christian Service, Woman's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her husband; a sister, Mrs. Herman (Edna) Brandt, Forreston; a brother, William, Castlewood, S.D. Two sisters and four brothers preceded her in death. Service was at 3 p.m. today in Rockford, Iowa, Methodist Church, the Rev. George Baker officiating.
