Description	:	Mrs. Ada Viola Schroeder, whose sudden passing has left sorrow in the hearts of her dear ones and a host of her friends, was born on the 4th of August, 1868 in Washington County, Iowa, and slipped away quietly to her eternal home May 2nd, 1952 at the age of 83 years. Read More	Mrs. Ada Viola Schroeder, whose sudden passing has left sorrow in the hearts of her dear ones and a host of her friends, was born on the 4th of August, 1868 in Washington County, Iowa, and slipped away quietly to her eternal home May 2nd, 1952 at the age of 83 years. When a small girl she and her family left Iowa for the State of Kansas where they spent some time there. It was in Kansas that she was baptized and became a member of the Methodist Church. She often spoke of the times when they went back and forth in a covered wagon in those early pioneer days. In 1888 she and her family came to Seattle where they resided until 1941. She was married to August Schroder in Seattle September 16, 1912 and she and her husband came to Ellensburg 11 years ago. Four daughters came to bless their home with happiness, two of whom preceded her in death, one being Mrs. Tom Harrell of Thorp who passed away January 19th of this year. On the 11th of April 1947 Mr. Schroder passed away and recently she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. A. O. Page of this community. Those who feel so keenly the sadness of this hour are: 2 daughters: Mrs. A. O. Page of Ellensburg, Mrs. J. A. Mansfield of Spokane; 1 sister: Mrs. Bell Klink of Seattle; 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral service-May 5th, 1952, 2 p.m., Rev. Hardwick W. Harshman, officiating. [obituary]. Ada was first married to Uriah Wooding, who was the father of her four girls. The couple divorced.
