He had been sick but a short time and was under the care of Forest City physicians. His case grew rapidly worse and the family decided than an operation might restore his health. On Friday the surgeon performed the operation, but it did not give the results hoped for. Albert Chizek was born in Bohemia. He came to this country when a young boy and for a number of years resided in Chickasaw County, Iowa. Here he met Miss Frona Sernett and was married to her about thirty-eight years ago. Eleven children were born to this union, one dying some years ago, and ten of them, with the mother, are left to mourn the loss of a husband and father. The children are: Mrs. Anna Liska of Brockett, N.D., L.W. Chizek, Brockett, N.D., Mrs. L. O. Metz, Britt, Mrs. Chas. Nedved and Mrs. John Liska, of Duncan, Frank Chizek, Mason City, Jos. Chizek of Britt, Steve, Will, and Albert at home. Besides the children he leaves three brothers and two sisters: Joseph Chizek, of Chicago, John Chesek, Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, Frank Chizek of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, Mrs. Votava, of St. Paul, Minn. And Mrs. Frank Hejik, of Garner. W. J. Martinek of Britt is a cousin. Deceased had lived and prospered in Hancock county twenty-two years and owned a half section of fine farm land in Garfield township. He was an industrious man and provided well for his family. Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. church at Garner, at 12:30 o'clock on Wednesday and the remains were laid to rest in the Garner cemetery." Submited by: Ann Bowler
