Adalene grew up in the Franklin County area and moved from Ottawa to Garnett in 1967. Adalene attended the Church of Christ in Garnett and while living in Ottawa, she attended the Poplar Street Church of Christ. On Saturday, March 20, 1943, Adalene was united in marriage with Merl J. Montgomery. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1987. She is survived by her: Son - Roger Montgomery of Garnett, Kansas; Nephew – Ted Norton of Phoenix, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her: Husband - Merl J. Montgomery; Mother - Beatrice Sedgwick; Father - Theodore Sedgwick; Son - Loren Dale Montgomery; Daughter - Connie Lynn Montgomery; Sister - Opal Norton; Nephew – Kenneth Norton. SERVICES: Cremation is planned. Graveside Inurnment services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Agricola, Kansas.
