He is survived by his widow, Flora Copple. Born in Fountaintown, Indiana, in 1868, Mr. Copple was active in the Populist movement in Kansas and moved to Thurston county, Washington, at an early age. He taught school and worked at a shingle mill at Littlerock. Rev. Wm. J. Pennock paid tribute to the work of this staunch anti-fascist at a funeral service held Friday, Jan. 7, attended by scores of his friends and neighbors. ---- The New World, Seattle, Wash. Mr. Copple was a resident of the Glasco neighborhood many years ago, and will be remembered by older residents. Frank and Perry McBane are nephews of the deceased. (provided by:Cheryl White)
