Elm St., after an illness of about ten days. Mr. Attig was 43 years of age and had spent his entire life in this community, most of it on his farm southeast of town. Several years ago he removed to Lone Tree, engaging in the hardware business in the firm of Cipperly and Attig and for a time was interested in a garage. For the past two or three years he has not been actively engaged in business. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Imolene, besides his mother, Mrs. George Attig, Sr., one brother George, of Lone Tree and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Dunham of near West Liberty and Mrs. Emma Meyer of near Nichols, and a host of other relatives. Mr. Attig was a man of retiring, but kindly disposition and has a host of friends who will share in the sorrow of his family. He was an active worker in the Reformed church.
