Read More	Adam Rakouskas, 81, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Monday, February 14, 2005. He was employed for many years as an electrician for the Jahn Foundry in East Springfield. He was born in Chicopee on June 11, 1923, a beloved son of the late Adam and Eva (Sinkewicz) Rakouskas, and lived in Aldenville since 1947. He was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. He was a member of the Aldenville American Legion Post 337 and a member of the Tiger's Athletic Club of Chicopee Falls. He loved his summer garden and was well known throughout the neighborhood for his wonderful vegetables and colorful flowers. His beloved wife Germaine E. "Gerry" (Geoffroy) was Called Home on April 9, 2000. He leaves his loving children, Michael G. Rakouskas and his wife Elaine of Raleigh, NC, Alan R. Rakouskas and his wife Eileen of Fairview, Linda M. Roy and her husband Raymond of Southington, CT, Angela T. Kowal and her husband Rick of Belchertown, John A. Rakouskas and his wife Therese of Belchertown, David A. Rakouskas and his wife Lisa of Framingham and Donna J. Polwrek and her husband Richard of Goshen. His cherished 17 grandchildren and his cherished great granddaughter. His two dear sisters, Eva Tyburski of the Indian Orchard section of Springfield and Freda Nolan of Springfield and his many dear nephews and nieces. He also leaves his sweetheart, Jean Forbes of Chicopee Falls. He was predeceased by his dear brothers and sister, Peter Rakouskas, Andrew Rakouskas and Nellie Karcz. His funeral will be held Saturday morning February 19, 2005 at 8 a.m. from the St. Pierre Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street at the junction of Grattan Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Saint Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street in Aldenville. His burial will follow the Mass with Military Honors at Saint Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street in Aldenville.
