Description	:	LONG AND USEFUL LIFE Adam Stonberger, formerly of Colfax, died at Good Samaritan hospital, Los Angeles, Cal., Nov. 15, 1906, aged 78 years and 5 months. He had been ill for nearly three months, and death followed the third mastoid operation. His body was brought to Colfax for burial, arriving Wednesday morning, and the funeral was held at Good Samaritan Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J.H. Bainton officiating. Mr. Stoneberger lived long and wrought well. He was born in Pennsylvania, moving successively to Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, California, and Washington, coming to the Pacific coast in the early 60's. During his long residence in Whitman County he followed farming principally, in which he was signally successful, and was the owner of many acres of farm land. About three years ago he disposed of his holdings here and moved to Los Angeles, where he has since resided. He survived his wife, formerly Mrs. S.M. Buck, seven and a half months, and leaves three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Morgan, who accompanied his remains here; Mrs. Josephine Downs and Mrs. Lottie Miller. The Colfax gazette.
