'''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Fremont Evening Tribune, October 20, 1919, p. 3, col. 3 PIONEER WOMAN RESIDENT FOUND DEAD IN HOME Mrs. Addie Elizabeth Beebe, for nearly 50 years a resident of Fremont, was found dead in her home at the corner of Ninth and I streets Sunday morning. Physicians say death was due to heart failure. Her lifeless body was found on the floor by Mrs. Laura Whelpley, a neighbor, who called Sunday about 8 a.m. Mrs. Whelpley was at the Beebe home Saturday evening and left Mrs. Beebe sitting in the chair. She has been in failing health for several years but her condition was not considered critical. Mrs. Beebe came to Fremont from New York with her husband in 1872. Mr. Beebe died 18 years ago and since that time Mrs. Beebe had lived alone. She had no children. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the First Congregational Church where Mrs. Beebe had been a devout worshiper since coming to Fremont. Dr. Nathaniel McGaffen, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiated in the absence from the city of Dr. O. O. Smith, the pastor. Burial was at Ridge cemetery. Dr. Nathaniel McGiffin, in the absence of the pastor, Dr. O. O. Smith, officiated. Mrs. J. T. Young sang a solo with Mrs. Wehner at the piano. The bearers were B. W. Reynolds, J. H. Williams, P. S. Rine, C. C. Pollard, John Moller and W. H. Fowler. Burial was at Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Beebe came to Fremont from New York with her mother, brother and sister in 1872. Her marriage to the late Henry Beebe took place in Fremont. Mr. Beebe died about 12 years ago.
