Description	:	Adele B. Fox Bailey, 93, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held 2 pm Friday, June 4th at the Church of the Redeemer on Russell Street in Orangeburg. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Dell was born in Orangeburg a daughter of the late William "TC" Bates and Janie Brooks Salley. She was a graduate of Orangeburg H.S. and a member of the National Honor Society and Editor of the school newspaper. During her last two years of high school Dell was employed as a clerk a Hawthorne School Aeronautics. She also attended Winthrop College and received an Associate Degree in Business Commerce. After College she worked as a secretary to Congressman John J. Riley in Sumter, Orangeburg and Washington, D.C. Later she worked as secretary for Dr. O.R.Yost, Chief Neuro-Psychiatrist at Edgewood Sanitarium. She was an active member of The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer where she served on the Vestry, was a former member of the Choir and a delegate to Diocesan Convention many times. She was a former member of Business and Professional Women's Club of Orangeburg, member and Past President of Chapter A, S.C., P.E.O. Sisterhood, member of the Republican Party Silver Elephant Club and was a candidate for S.C. House of Representatives of Orangeburg County in 1972. Dell enjoyed volunteering with the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy, Heart Fund, Easter Seals. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Kabriel of Oklahoma City, Ok; one granddaughter, Laura Koger, (Chris) of Edmond, Ok.; a daughter in law Silvia F. Zeigler of Cameron and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
