Description	:	Marion Register Wednesday July 14, 1869 Died at the residence of her father, July 6th, Mrs. Delia Corbett, aged 26 years. Mrs. Corbett was the third child of Albert Twogood Esq., and was married to Thomas Corbett Esq., January 12th, 1861. She joined the Congregational church in this place on profession of faith March 10th, 1866. Mrs. C., by her amiable deportment, endeared herself to a large circle of relatives and friends, and by her consistent christian life, was the respect of all who knew her. Mrs. Corbett was the third child of Albert Twogood Esq., and was married to Thomas Corbett Esq., January 12th, 1861. She joined the Congregational church in this place on profession of faith March 10th, 1866. Mrs. C., by her amiable deportment, endeared herself to a large circle of relatives and friends, and by her consistent christian life, was the respect of all who knew her. She was without reproach, living up to her high calling. Ever after her disease was prying on her, in weakness and pain, she was almost constant in her attendance at church and prayer meeting, and the lessons of the sanctuary she practiced in her life. Her religion she carried into the world. Would that we had more such humble and lovely christians in our churches. A life so exemplary in all its relations, closed with a long illness of very intense suffering. All through her illness was the same cheerful, patient deportment. Her friends she always greeted with a pleasant smile, and even when her pain was the keenest not a murmur did she utter. She longed to live while life lasted, when death came she met it without fear. She has now gone to her Savior, to whom she clung so patiently and lovingly during her illness and to her angel boy, to whom her thought often and fondly turned as the end drew near. Ours is the loss, her's is the gain. A fond husband and loving and loved parents, and sisters and brothers are in tears over her grave. A large circle of relatives and friends are afflicted in her death; the church of which she was so faithful a member, mourns her loss; the community is made poorer by the withdrawal of her good example and influence; while she, welcomed by the Saviour, whom she loved and served on earth, stands with the blessed multitude on Mount Zion.
