Adeline Elizabeth Bliven was born May 21, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Dietz) Bliven, in Little Woody, Saskatchewan, Canada and was raised in Grand Forks, ND, where she lived her whole life. On September 14, 1938 Adeline married Andrew Lemieux in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Over the years, she worked at the Deaconess Hospital and the Pillsbury Company. Adeline Elizabeth Bliven was born May 21, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Dietz) Bliven, in Little Woody, Saskatchewan, Canada and was raised in Grand Forks, ND, where she lived her whole life. On September 14, 1938 Adeline married Andrew Lemieux in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Over the years, she worked at the Deaconess Hospital and the Pillsbury Company. Andrew preceded her in death on August 16, 2000. Adeline loved working in her yard and being able to be there for her family; they were her life. Her passion was music. She enjoyed listening to her favorite CD's and had a special spot in her heart for dancing, as she met her husband at a dance. She loved to show off her "moves" and "shimmy" for you. Adeline is survived by her 4 children, Dale (Mary) Lemieux, Morrison, CO, Carol Severinson, Gary (Cheryl) Lemieux, and Debbie Blazer all of Grand Forks; 2 brothers, Jerome (Donna) Bliven, East Grand Forks, MN, and Bill (Mary) Bliven, Minot, ND; 1 sister, Dorie (Mrs. Clifford) Jeffrey, Orion, IL; brother-in-law, Earl LaBrecque, Grand Forks; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and her 2 beloved dogs, Chloe and Peanut. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Fr. Robert Bliven; 2 sisters, Gladys Bruce and Shirley LaBrecque; and 2 brothers-in-law, Neil Bruce and Cliff Jeffrey. "Ears that truly listen, Arms that always hold, Love that's never ending, A heart that's made of gold." We'll miss you! Memorial Liturgy: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel. Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral chapel on Tuesday. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND, at a later date.
