Description	:	Adeline M. Schmidt-Olson, 89, a longtime resident of Moore Township and Enderlin, passed away on February 23, 2008 in Coupeville, WA, after a brief illness. Adeline M. Groth was born on September 23, 1918 in Vida, MT where her parents, Archie and Millie Groth, were farmers. They returned to Moore Township in 1920 where Adeline and her older brother attended Moore School. Adeline graduated from Enderlin High School in 1936 and married Lloyd Schmidt on April 114, 1940. Schmidt-Olson, 89, a longtime resident of Moore Township and Enderlin, passed away on February 23, 2008 in Coupeville, WA, after a brief illness. Adeline M. Groth was born on September 23, 1918 in Vida, MT where her parents, Archie and Millie Groth, were farmers. They returned to Moore Township in 1920 where Adeline and her older brother attended Moore School. Adeline graduated from Enderlin High School in 1936 and married Lloyd Schmidt on April 114, 1940. They farmed in the Sheldon area until the fall of 1949, when they moved to Enderlin. In early 1950 they formed a triple partnership with Mr. Mac McQueen and Mr. Jim Legg and opened the Trio Bar. The Schmidt’s sold their interest in the Trio Bar in 1953 and opened Lloyds Liquors in 1954. Lloyd returned to farming in the late 1950’s and drove school bus for the Enderlin Public School system during the winter. Lloyd passed away in the summer of 1968. In the summer of 1970, Adeline and her sons moved to Fargo. Adeline married Vernon E. Olson, from Hunter, ND, on January 14, 1975 and continued living in Fargo. They traveled extensively until Vernon’s death in 2006. Adeline moved to the Seattle area in 2006 to be near one of her sons and lived in an Assisted Living Center until November, 2007 when she went into a full-time nursing facility. Adeline is survived by Dale D. (Linda) Schmidt and Larry L. (Kathryn) Schmidt, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private funeral will be held in Enderlin in the summer of 2008 with interment in the Enderlin Cemetery. Published in the Enderlin Independent, Enderlin, North Dakota, March 5, 2008.
