Description	:	Adella Korte, 92 of Creston, Nebraska, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the Columbus Community Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 10:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church (14 north) with Rev. Brad Birtell and Sem. Seth Korte officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Adella was born July 5, 1918, in Columbus, Nebraska, to William and Clara (Rosche) Cattau. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. She attended District #46 Grade School and Christ Lutheran Grade School. Adella worked on the family farm until her marriage to Paul Korte on February 2, 1944, at Christ Lutheran Church. After her marriage, Adella worked alongside of Paul farming, milking cows, and raising four children. In 1969, Adella started working at B-D Medical retiring in August, 1983. In 1980, Paul and Adella moved from the farm into Creston where they made their home. Adella loved to garden, care for her lawn, do sewing, baking, and cake decorating. She had an ear for music and could play several instruments. She was a member of the Creston Legion Auxiliary and St. John's Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Ladies Aid and the LWML. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will cherish the special times that they had with her. Adella is survived by: Daughter - Kathy (Ken) Macken of Columbus, NE Daughter - Judy (Gary) Blessen of Creston, NE Daughter - Monette (Dennis) Osten of Columbus, NE Son - Jerry (Nancy) Korte of Columbus, NE 13 Grandchildren 18 Great-Grandchildren Sister-in-law - Elsa Cattau of Columbus, NE Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law - Walter & Marge Korte of Columbus, NE Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law - Vernon & Joyce Korte of Columbus, NE Several nieces and nephews Adella was preceded in death by: Parents - William and Clara Cattau Husband - Paul Korte Grandson - Jay Blessen Brother - Werner Cattau Brother and Sister-in-law - Elmer and Caecelia Cattau Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law - Herbert and Henrietta Wilke
