Adella, better known as Della was born September 9,1926 at Shaw, Colorado to Millard and Irma Mae (Mann) Kenny one of eight children.She attended school in Limon and Shaw,Colorado. Read More	Della Mae Jaques, 84 of Genoa, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, March 29,2011 at the Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, Colorado. Adella, better known as Della was born September 9,1926 at Shaw, Colorado to Millard and Irma Mae (Mann) Kenny one of eight children.She attended school in Limon and Shaw,Colorado. The big highlight of her school days was playing and marching in the Limon Band. She loved sports especially baseball, but could always beat the grand-kids at a game of horse even in her later years. Della married Willburn Jaques on March 6,1945 and the couple were blessed with nine children. They raised their family North of Arriba during the early years then after buying another farm North of Bovina where they moved and remained the rest of their years. Della loved quilting, making many quilts, gardening and canning the family's food, she also enjoyed making home made ice cream using the cream that they enjoyed from milking cows. She was famous with her grand-children for her homemade oatmeal cookies which she kept in a musical red barn cookie canister. Della loved collecting antique dishes and lamps she would find at sales. She was a most loving, generous person to her family or friends who would drop by at any time. She would cook up a big meal for anyone who came to visit. Della was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilburn, daughters Noreen and Charlotte, brothers, Marvin, Edward, and Keith; and sisters, Lois and Audrey. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Janetta) Jaques of Limon, Colorado, and Mark Jaques of Genoa, Colorado; daughters, Beverly (Monte) Strode of Flagler, Colorado, Jeannie (Robert) Wasson of Hugo, Colorado, Bonnie (Roger) Chamberlain of Crocker, Missiouri, Norma Strode of Buena Vista, Colorado, and Cathie (Tom) Glass of Page, Ariziona. Della is also survived by one brother, Richard (Charlene) Kenney of Denver, Colorado, one sister, Dorothy (Jim) Edgar of Eugene, Oregon; twelve grandchildren, 21 great-grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
