She was married to Alonzo Burd July 30, 1902. As a loving wife and mother she was the sushine (sic) of the home which God blessed with seven children. But the sorrow which her early departure has brought is not confined even to these. There is a host of friends who have known her as a true and devoted mother, as a kind and helpful neighbor, and as an humble follower of Christ. Her important work was done and Good (sic) called her to Himself, where she awaits her loved ones. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church (sic) and the body laid to rest in Nelson cemetery (sic) Saturday afternoon. May the deep grief of these sorely stricken ones be somewhat assuaged by the knowledge of that universal respect and admiration which she had won to herself, as well as by the widespread sympathy which all who know them, feel. These surface troubles come and go Like ruffles of the sea; The deeper depth is out of reach To all, my God, but thee.
