Description	:	Adelle Booth Hucks Johnson, 78, left us on October 23, 2017, at her home in Aynor, South Carolina with her family by her side. She was the wife of John “JD” Johnson. Adelle was born June 26, 1939 at home in the Poplar Community of Horry County. She was born to Harry and Edna Booth. She was a graduate of Conway High School and Winthrop University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She later received her Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina. Read More	Adelle Booth Hucks Johnson, 78, left us on October 23, 2017, at her home in Aynor, South Carolina with her family by her side. She was the wife of John “JD” Johnson. Adelle was born June 26, 1939 at home in the Poplar Community of Horry County. She was born to Harry and Edna Booth. She was a graduate of Conway High School and Winthrop University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She later received her Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught school for 35 years and retired from Aynor Elementary in 1999. Adelle was a lifelong member of Poplar United Methodist Church. Since her retirement, she joyfully donated her talents and time to the Conway Kiwanis Club, where she was a member and the Key Club at Aynor High School and surrounding schools. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, A.W. Hucks, and one brother, Elton Booth. In addition to her loving husband of 13 years, survivors of her legacy include two brothers, Larry Booth (Phyllis), Rawlin Booth (Joyce), 9 children- Jody Johnson (Joe Miles), Karen Weisen (Steve), Denise Martin (Bob), Walter Hucks (Stephanie), Jeanne Doyle (John), Crystal Isenhower (John), Danny Johnson, Kim Dusenbury (Andy), Katrena Smith (Don), 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and countless other family members. Funeral services for Adelle will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Poplar United Methodist Church, 5095 Highway 701 N, Conway, SC 29526 with the Rev. Rawlin Booth and Rev. Stan Weber officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. http://www.goldfinchfuneralhome.com
