Description	:	Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, January 21 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer for Elmer Klinger, long time resident of Fulton. The Rev. Donley Hesse will officiate at the service and burial will be in the Spencer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Patzlaff, Larry Patzlaff, Morris Patzlaff, Jeffrey Patzlaff, Martin Eilts, Douglas O'Neill and Dennis O'Neill. Elmer Klinger was born February 1, 1898 at Platteville, Wisconsin to August and Lena Klinger. When he was 5 years old he moved with his parents to Calumet, Iowa area and at the age of ten he moved to Fulton, SD area. He was married to Amanda Lienemann on June 18, 1924 at Fulton, SD. The couple spent all of their married lives farming in the Fulton area. Mr. Klinger died on Sunday, January 17, 1982 in Methodist Hospital, Mitchell, SD. He had reached the age of 83 years, 11 months and 15 days. He was member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, SD, had been active in the Farmers Union and had been a member of the board of directors of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Klinger is survived by his wife, Amanda, four daughters and sons-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Verne (Ruth) Eilts, Mitchell, SD, Mr. and Mrs. Gene (Elsie) Patzlaff, Farmer, SD, Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Betty) O'Neill, and Mr. and Mrs. Courtney (Mary) Hall, both of Fulton, SD. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one brother, Clarence Klinger, Fulton, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
