Mr. Siebrass had been in failing health for several months. Lacking two days, a month previous on December 23, Mr. & Mrs. Siebrass had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Siebrass was born in Gasconade county Missouri, on April 7, 1864. At the age of 16 years he came with his parents to this community, where they settled on a farm 3 miles south of Blue Hill. On December 23, 1890, he was married to Miss Katherine Goll and following their marriage they moved to Davenport, NE, where he engaged in the blacksmithing business until in January, 1898, when they returned to Blue Hill where he followed his trade until 1909. At that time he sold his blacksmith shop to Fred C. Bock and established an implement business here from which he retired in 1928. The deceased is survived by his wife and five children: Mrs. Chas. Krueger, Mrs. L.M. Leach, both of Blue Hill: Miss Edna Siebrass of Omaha, Mrs. H.C. Ely of Tenino, Washington, and Clarence Siebrass, of Marshfield, Oregon. There are eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Henry of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Charles of Blue Hill, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Frahm of Blue Hill. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, with a prayer service at the home at 1:45 p.m. followed by services at Trinity Lutheran Church with the pastor, Rev. August Ficken in charge.
