Carver, formerly a resident of Skidmore, died at his home in Kiowa, Kansas, Thursday, and his body was brought back to Skidmore for burial, and laid to rest by the side of his mother in the Smith cemetery. Carver, formerly a resident of Skidmore, died at his home in Kiowa, Kansas, Thursday, and his body was brought back to Skidmore for burial, and laid to rest by the side of his mother in the Smith cemetery. Mr. Carver was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Kiowa, and one of its number accompanied the body here for burial and turned it over to the Skidmore lodge. A. C. Carver was born in 1841 and was a veteran of the civil war. He was a brother of Mrs. Wesley Clark formerly of Skidmore. His body was taken to the home of his niece, Mrs. W. A. Whereas, It has pleased the Almighty God in his wisdom, to remove from our order, brother A. C. Carver, a former neighbor and an old friend of many of the brethren of this lodge, therefore be it Resolved, That we extend our sincere sympathies to his sister, Mrs. Wesley Clark, and brother, Albert Carver, and other relatives, trusting that He who taught us the beautiful parable of Brotherly Love, will ever have mercy upon them.
