Description	:	Don H. Tindle Adonis "Don" H. Tindle, 84 of Montezuma, died Friday, December 26, 1997 at the Mahaska County Hospital at Oskaloosa, Iowa. Funeral services were held at Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma, Rev. Dennis Dorisheimer of the Jackson Church of Christ in Montezuma officiated. Musical selection were "Amazing Grace" and "One Day At A Time." Mr. Darrell Brand was soloist and Mrs. Kathleen Ramsey was organist. Don was born December 30, 1912 at Velpen, Indiana, the son of William and Emma (Taylor) Tindle. On October 9, 1940 he was united in marriage with Louise (Smothers) at Oskaloosa, Iowa. A lifelong farmer, Don and Louise farmed north of Montezuma. He also was a Lynks Seed Corn dealer for many years and a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Ewart, Iowa ad was a Masonic and a 51 year member of the Lily Lodge No. 254 AF & AM at Malcom, Iowa. A big kid at heart, Don loved to play with his children and grandchildren. He liked to hunt and fish. He preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harvey; a son Wayne and a granddaughter, Connie Lu Tindle. Don is survived by his wife; his children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; a sister-in-law and other relatives and may friends. Interment was at Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Memorials may be made to the Montezuma Volunteer Fire Department. Montezuma Republican 12/31/1997
