She died Thursday Dec. 20, 2001, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Agatha Raasch was born June 1, 1907, in Beemer. She attended Beemer Public Schools. She married Herman Schulz April 1, 1930, south of Wisner. The couple lived in and around Beemer on farms before moving to Osmond in 1937. She died Thursday Dec. 20, 2001, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Agatha Raasch was born June 1, 1907, in Beemer. She attended Beemer Public Schools. She married Herman Schulz April 1, 1930, south of Wisner. The couple lived in and around Beemer on farms before moving to Osmond in 1937. They moved to Dallas in 1942 when he was drafted into aircraft work. Following the war he was employed with Braniff Airlines until returning to Beemer in 1956. They built ahome in 1962 that she was presently residing in. She was a homemaker. Her spouse died in 1986. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Beemer. She received an award of recognition as the Famous Poet for 1998 from the Famous Poets Society. Survivors include: a son, Lionel (and wife, Ida) Schulz of Dallas; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a step grandson, five stepgreat-grandchildren and a stepgranddaughter-in-law. She was also preceded in death by two infant children, a stepgrandson, six sisters and three brothers. The Rev. David List will officiate Saturday's service. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at Kuzelka Minnick Funeral Home in Beemer and continues 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Beemer Cemetery.
