Description	:	Agnes was born on farm to Emil and Mary (Vasa) Polacek. Since the mid-60's Agi has been a resident of Omaha where she was active in volunteer ministries at Christ the King Church, including saying the rosary with residents at Hickory Villa Assisted Living for many years. In her early years, Agnes received a teaching certificate from Midland College and taught in a one-room school house, PS51 near Prague. She worked in many jobs in Omaha through the years including the gift shop at Bergan Mercy and at Precision Optical. In 2002, Agi's life took a turn at the age... Read More	Agnes was born on farm to Emil and Mary (Vasa) Polacek. In her early years, Agnes received a teaching certificate from Midland College and taught in a one-room school house, PS51 near Prague. She worked in many jobs in Omaha through the years including the gift shop at Bergan Mercy and at Precision Optical. In 2002, Agi's life took a turn at the age of 80, when she was hit by a car as she walked to work. Since then she had resided at Hickory Villa in Omaha. Her years of infirmity did not stop her from continuing to be devoted to her church, watching EWIN and enjoying the bingo and crafts at Hickory. Agi was a huge fan of the Creighton basketball and would often be seen sitting in her apartment wearing Creighton T-Shirt and cheering on her team. Her lifelong spirt of faith and generosity lives on as an example for all of us.
