Her death occurred by drowning in the house cistern during a period of mental derangement. Early in January 1898, Mrs Danskin was called to Kingston, Ontario to care for her father, mother and grandmother, who were sirously ill, the latter dying while she was there. Her continuous and unsparing devotion to her sick relatives proved to be too great a strain upon her nervous system and physical endurance, and when she returned home last September, she was much broken in health. In December, insomnia in its most persitant form set in, which, with other physical and mental madadies, made life seem an unbearable burden and led to her sad death. Mrs Danskin was a most estimable woman, beloved by her children and relatives, and highly esteemed by her old neighbors and friends, and even by those who only knew her only as a casual acquaintance. In her church relations she was exemplary and devoted. Her funeral services were conducted at her late residence Sunday afternoon by Rev. Mr Shrader, assisted by Rev Mr Henderson, and were largely attended by the towspeople and her old neighbors from Colo and vicinity, where much of her life had been passed. The burial was in the Colo cemetery beside the remains of her husband, the late David Danskin. By this sad death three daughters, Miss Ella, a student of the State Normal School, at home since January, Mrs Charles Wilson of Colo; and Miss Jessie of the graduating class of the Nevada High School, are left to mourn a mother beloved. A sister, Mrs George Danskin, a brother, William Clyde of Petrolia, and her parents of Kingston, Canada are among the other relatives sorely bereaved. Among friends from out of town to bring word of sympathy to the sorrowing household were Mr Wm. Clyde of Canada, and Miss Simmons of Cedar Falls, a teacher in the State Normal. The family and friends are grateful for all assistance rendered and sympathy extended in their behalf.
