Description	:	Mrs. Richling died Tuesday morning, March 3 at the age of 84 years. The absent children arrived three fourths of an hour before her death. At her death bed were present her two faithful attendants, Nellie and Mary, her children, Mrs. J.F. Beste of Vermillion, S.D., Theodore Richling of Spalding, Nebr, Mrs. J.L. Zimmer of Lincoln, Nebr., Pete Richling and wife and her son-in-law, Richard Balleweg of Walnut. Agnes Diez Richling was born Dec. 18, 1829 in Sarmebach, Prussia. She came to this country in 1854. Agnes Diez Richling was born Dec. 18, 1829 in Sarmebach, Prussia. She came to this country in 1854. One year later, she was united in marriage to Lorenz Richling in Syracuse, N.Y. In 1879 they came to Knox county, taking up their residence on a homestead, where she lived until four years ago. Then, she moved to Creighton. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died fourteen years ago and by four children. Mrs. Richling has long been a patient sufferer. She has been an invalid for over three years, but was tenderly cared for by Nellie Richling, her foster daughter and Mary Balleweg, a granddaughter. Both girls were taken in childhood and raised by Mrs. Richling. They have returned her kind motherhood by giving her years of affection. Her kind and lovely disposition won her many friends, who with her children, will mourn her loss. Funeral services wee held Thursday morning from St. Ludgerus Church and laid to rest beside her husband. The Liberal extends condolences to the bereaved. ...The Creighton Liberal 5 March 1914
