Description	:	Agnes Genese (Tollett) Hamilton, 89, a precious mother, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with her parents, many siblings, family members and friends on Oct. 30, 2017. Genese was born on Nov. 13, 1927, to the late Kay Farris/Cay Pharis Tollett and Bertha Elvira (Sherrill) Tollett. She lived on a farm and was raised during the Depression era. Read More	Agnes Genese (Tollett) Hamilton, 89, a precious mother, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with her parents, many siblings, family members and friends on Oct. 30, 2017. Genese was born on Nov. 13, 1927, to the late Kay Farris/Cay Pharis Tollett and Bertha Elvira (Sherrill) Tollett. She lived on a farm and was raised during the Depression era. Her parents worked very hard to make a living and provide for their family. This is where Genese gained a strong work ethic which she passed on to her children. She graduated from Cumberland County High School in 1947. During high school, she was a majorette and played girls basketball. While attending high school, she waitressed locally. After graduation, she moved out of state and was a nanny. In August of 1947 Wayne, Indiana She later married Hollis Roberson Hamilton (deceased), from Pikeville, TN. They bought and slowly remodeled a home (Genese had an eye for interior design) in Dayton, OH. To this union they had three children: Holletta, Levonia and Dale. Genese took them to church instilling a strong faith in God. [Luke 1:37 - "For with God nothing shall be impossible."] Genese was a homemaker, great cook, sold AVON, enjoyed making craft items, crocheting, gardening, canning and freezing items from her garden (you name it - she grew it). She was involved in Eastern Star, attended many of her children's school functions and worked outside the home at Inland and Rike's Kettering Department Store. She also worked at NCR, several restaurants, for several elderly persons, and Miami Valley Hospital where she retired. After retirement, Genese and several friends enjoyed thrift store shopping. She was a true go-getter and could not sit still. She was a member of South Park Baptist Church in Dayton, OH. After a period of time, a noticeable change in health became evident. After much discussion between her children, her daughters decided to bring her to Texas to be near them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mitchell Earl Pennington, Estel Eugene Tollett, Malcom Pennington, James M. Randolph, James Walter "Jack" Tollett and wife Annie Lou (Nail) Tollett, Willard Ocalee "Buck" Tollett and wife Wesley Jewel (Little) Tollett; sisters, Myrtle Maxine (Pennington) Hyder and husband Floyd Joseph "Tootie" Hyder, Delphia Lozena (Tollett) Swafford and husband Tulloss Alfred "T.A." Swafford; niece, Crenn Marie (Pennington) Phillips; and nephews, Tullas Alfred "Ted" Swafford, Floyd Joseph "Jimmy" Hyder and wife Muril Hyder, James Earl "Jay" Pennington, Nolan Harman Pennington and Jerry Mitchell Pennington. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Holletta Beth Eudy and husband Jimmy Jay Eudy, Levonia Dean Buchanan and husband Harold Thomas "Tom" Buchanan, Dale Roberson Hamilton and wife Cheryl Lynn (Jayne) Hamilton; brother, Clarence Eugene "Gene" Tollett and wife Doris (Henry) Tollett; sister-in-law, Bertha Alene (Blevins) Pennington; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter on the way; and many nieces, nephews and countless family members and friends. A special "thank you" to Dale and Cheryl for their loving care of mom while living in Ohio. Service information will be announced soon. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. Published on November 2, 2017 A Celebration of Life for Agnes Genese Hamilton, age 89, formerly of Crossville, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home.
