Description	:	Agnes Hughes Parrish, 100, of Kents Store, died February 28, 2002 at the King Adult Home in Louisa. Born August 28, 1901 in Wilmington, Va., daughter of the late John S. and Mary Ella Perkins Hughes. She was the widow of Louis Edward Parrish and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Parrish. Mrs. Parrish taught school in Fluvanna County from 1919 to 1922 when she married. She and Mr. Parrish raised their four children and in 1946 she began teaching again. Most of her teaching was fourth and fifth grades at Columbia District School in Fluvanna... Born August 28, 1901 in Wilmington, Va., daughter of the late John S. and Mary Ella Perkins Hughes. She was the widow of Louis Edward Parrish and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Parrish. Mrs. Parrish taught school in Fluvanna County from 1919 to 1922 when she married. She and Mr. Parrish raised their four children and in 1946 she began teaching again. Most of her teaching was fourth and fifth grades at Columbia District School in Fluvanna County from which she retired in 1967. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Louis E. Parrish Jr. of Kents Store, John Franklin Parrish of Strasburg and Robert Overton Parrish of Kents Store; one sister, Mary Ella Hughes Perkins of Greensboro, N.C.; two grandsons, Gregory E. Parrish of Apopka, Fla. and Barry N. Parrish of Amarillo, Texas; two granddaughters, Marjorie L. Rummel of Warrenton and Anne-Marie Parrish of Kents Store; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy Parrish and Danny Parrish, both of Apopka, Fla., Joe Rummel and James Rummel, both of Warrenton, Meadow Parrish and Bayley Leyshon, both of Kents Store. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 at the Beulah Baptist Church, Kents Store, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Greene. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Kents Store. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kents Store Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O.
