She moved to Reading, Kansas, with her parents at the age of eight years, where she has lived the entire time with the exception of four years which were spent at Barclay, Kansas. When sixteen years old she united with the Baptist church of this place. January 1st, 1902, she was married to Amos R. Tucker, who died ten years later. She moved to Reading, Kansas, with her parents at the age of eight years, where she has lived the entire time with the exception of four years which were spent at Barclay, Kansas. When sixteen years old she united with the Baptist church of this place. January 1st, 1902, she was married to Amos R. Tucker, who died ten years later. To this union six children were born, four of which survive. She was married to Daniel Hopkins March 25, 1916, an died February 16, 1917, after an illness of four weeks. The funeral was held at the Baptist church Monday afternoon and was attended by a large crowd of relatives and friends. The floral offering were very beautiful. the music ws furnished by a male quartet of Orin Standiferd, Edward Gregory, Prof. Wallace and Geo. Watson accompanied by Nellie Fields. Rev. L.J. Gillham had charge of the services. The pallbearers were Jerry Simkins, Hugh Gage, Chas. Schlohohm, Henry Frye, Sam Evans and Henry Rains. Interment was made in Reading cemetery. The entire community extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
