Description	:	Agnes Knoell died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Watertown, S.D. to Bernard and Grace (Ramel) Ruhr. She was raised in rural Watertown until moving to Howells at age 12. She moved to Omaha and worked as a maid for a couple of years and then moved to Fremont in 1938. Read More	Agnes Knoell died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Watertown, S.D. to Bernard and Grace (Ramel) Ruhr. She was raised in rural Watertown until moving to Howells at age 12. She moved to Omaha and worked as a maid for a couple of years and then moved to Fremont in 1938. She worked at the former Baders Cafe on Main Street. She married Harvey C. Knoell on Feb. 18, 1941, in Fremont. After her marriage, she and her spouse lived on a farm 6 miles north of Fremont until moving to a farm west of Fremont in 1943. In 1945, they moved to a farm west of Spiker and lived there until moving into Fremont in 1948. She worked nights as a cook at the former Pawley Truck Stop on west 23rd Street, then was a cook at Sloan's Truck Stop at 17th and Bell streets, where she worked for 13 years. She then worked at Watchorn's Truck Stop on 23rd Street and Somers Avenue and later was employed at Campbell Soup Company for three years, until retiring. Her spouse died Feb. 7, 1986. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont. Survivors include: two sons, The Rev. Marion H. (and wife, Janet) Knoell and Alfred C. (and wife, Reymoun) Knoell, all of Fremont; two brothers, Herbert Ruhr of Omaha and Robert (and wife, Elaine) Ruhr of Fremont; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded by two brothers and four sisters.
