Lempke on Oct. 16, 1945, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Mary, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1982. Agnes was born on October 24, 1915, at St. Mary, Nebraska, the daughter of Florian and Martha (Hindera) Masur. Agnes was united in marriage to Charles J. Lempke on Oct. 16, 1945, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Mary, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1982. Agnes is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Dennis Schuster of Grand Island, Nebraska; sons and one daughter-in-law, Joe Lempke of Hastings, Nebraska and James and Linda Lempke of Ogallala, Nebraska; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Agnes received her education in St. Mary, Nebraska and spent her early life in St. Mary and Lincoln, Nebraska. After she and Charles were married they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska where he was a construction worker. They also lived in St. Paul, Nebraska and moved to St. Libory, Nebraska in September 1952. She worked at local cafes and the Cornhusker Army Ammunitions Plant and Delicious Foods in Grand Island. After Charles died she continued to live in St. Libory, Nebraska until 1995, when she moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. Agnes was a active member of St. Libory's Catholic Church, St. Libory, Nebraska and CCW for many years. After moving to Grand Island, Nebraska and she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and it's CCW and Quilting Group. She also was a member of the Platt-Duetsche, Sunset Club and the Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119, St. Paul, Nebraska. Agnes enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, crocheting and quilting. She loved Lawrence Welk, family reunions and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Agnes was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Charles Lempke; infant daughter, Mary Lempke; infant son, David Lempke; sisters, Sister Sylvia Masur and Gertrude Peschel and brothers, Alex, Leonard, Matt, Felix, August and Mark Masur. Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grand Island, Nebraska. The Revs. Mark Maresh and Tom Ryan officiated. Burial was in St. Libory Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, Nebraska.
