Burial was in Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ridgeway. Agnes Mildred Aga was born March 4, 1913, the daughter of Anon and Marie Anderson. She was baptized on March 24, 1913 and confirmed on July 3, 1927 at the Orleans Lutheran Church by Rev. Norman. She attended grade school in Orleans Township, Winneshiek County, and high school in Ridgeway, graduating from Cresco High School. She then attended normal training and taught school in Winneshiek County for six years. On July 28, 1937, Agnes Anderson was united in marriage to Norman Aga at the Ridgeway parsonage by Rev. Norman. To this union three children were born, Mary, David and Normie Aga. When Normie Aga was 5 years of age, Agnes Aga returned to teaching for six years, serving in Orleans and Sumner Townships and at Ridgeway teaching Kindergarten. She started working in the office in the fall following teaching a semester of Kindergarten and worked there for 18 years. Survivors include her three children and their spouses: Mary and Arnold Bergan of Osage; David and Theresa Aga of Ridgeway, and Normie and Don Ferrie of Cresco, eight grandchildren: Jeff and Sharyn Bergan, Jodie Bergan, Jay and Jill Bergan, Beth, Andrea and Ben Aga, Dee Dee and Sean Vagts, Scott and Jill Ferrie, and four great-grandchildren: Sam and Emily Bergan, Addison and Emma Ferrie, and two sisters-in-law, Lille Mae Thompson and Ruby Hellem, along with several nieces and nephews. Agnes Mildred Aga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman Aga, on Feb. 18, 1981, a sister, Hannah, two brothers, Herbert and Spencer Anderson and three brothers-in-law, Ralph Painter, Eugene Hellem and Richard Thompson.
