Description	:	The death of Miss Agnes Scully, 70, occurred Sunday at a Cedar Rapids nursing home following several months' illness. She had been a patient in Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, for more than four months. The day before her death she was moved to a nursing home. Miss Scully, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine McNeil Scully, was born June 11, 1889, in Highland Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She had been a lifetime long resident of the Volga community and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the Women's Guild and the Apostleship of Prayer. Survivors include two brothers, Mike and Dan Scully, both of Volga, one nephew and three nieces and other relatives. Her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hurley and Miss Catherine Scully preceded her death. She lived with her brother, Mike, on the home farm for several years. After selling the farm, they bought a place in Volga where she resided until her illness. Services were held Wednesday from the McTaggart funeral home at Elkader at 9:30 and at Sacred Heart Church, Volga, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Father Karl J. Klein, pastor, officiated at the requiem high mass and at the graveside in Sacred Heart cemetery where interment was made. Casket bearers were William Orr, Ed Finley, J.E. McTaggart, James Boland, John Follon and Harry Rinkert.
