Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m., at Mohr's funeral home and at 2:30 at the Methodist church with Rev. Dan J. Peterson and Rev. Charlotte Dillon officiating. Honorary bearers were Lee Gleason, Frank Smith, Elmer Taylor, Ray Curry, Rudy Harder and Fay Walton. Albert resided his whole life in and around Ponca, retiring in 1960 and moving to Ponca, making it his permanent home. He was married June 24, 1916 in Ponca, to Ida Sue (but I think "Susan Ida" is correct here) Taylor. To this union two children were born. Albert was baptized in the Central Methodist church west of Ponca, and transferred his membership to the First Methodist church, Ponca, May 14, 1950, of which he was a member at the time of his death. He was interested in other community affairs but his sole interest outside of the church was his family and the farming that he so successfully carried on for so many years. He was a kind patient husband and father and will be missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his wife, Ida, two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Stark and Mrs. LaDonna Frahm, both of Ponca, two brothers, George of Ponca, and Floyd of Verdel, two sisters, Mrs. Mable Grosvenor and Mrs. Elizabeth Russell and ..... four grandchildren." -------------------------
