Description	:	Albert Ai Hewlett, age 83, of Grand River, Iowa, the son of Auris Lee and Cleo Mae (Payton) Hewlett, was born February 27, 1938, at Grand River, Iowa. He died at the Mt. Ayr Health Care Center in Mt. Ayr, Iowa on Monday, November 29, 2021. Albert grew up on the family farm and attended Elk Union District #4 school outside of Grand River. Read More	Albert Ai Hewlett, age 83, of Grand River, Iowa, the son of Auris Lee and Cleo Mae (Payton) Hewlett, was born February 27, 1938, at Grand River, Iowa. He died at the Mt. Ayr Health Care Center in Mt. Ayr, Iowa on Monday, November 29, 2021. Albert grew up on the family farm and attended Elk Union District #4 school outside of Grand River. He graduated from Grand River High School in Grand River. He then worked in Des Moines, Iowa for a short time before returning to help his dad and brothers on the farm. On May 27, 1962, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Ritchie in Grand River. They were blessed with three sons, Edward, Douglas, and Jeffery. Albert was a dedicated farmer through and through who loved farming the land. In 1969, he and Phyllis started a Grade A Dairy on their farm. In the 1980's they transitioned from the dairy to a cow/calf operation and also raised hogs. When Albert wasn't farming he enjoyed time with his family, reading westerns and watching western movies and sports on TV. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Francis Hewlett; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Gary Jimmerson; and son, Doug Hewlett. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hewlett of Grand River, Iowa; son, Ed Hewlett and wife, Connie of Independence, Kansas, daughter-in-law, Danie Hewlett of Yuma, Colorado, and son, Jeff Hewlett and wife, Marlena of Murray, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Anna Allen, Scott Hewlett, Curtis Hewlett, Amber Wyatt, Lynnae Hewlett, Sabrina Fonte, Lydon Walker, Kendra Miller, and Kaden Hewlett; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Gene Hewlett of Grand River; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.
