Description	:	Albert August Seedorff was born Sept. 16, 1889, the youngest son of Frederick and Anna Kohler Seedorff, in a log cabin in the home five and one-half miles northeast of Aurora. He was baptized July 6, 1890 by the Rev. Graf of the Lutheran church at Strawberry Point. He married Mary S. Andermann June 21, 1911 at Oelwein. To this union were born five sons and three daughters; Darrel, Sumner; Harlan, Aurora; Donald, Waterloo; Darwin, Chicago; and Vernon of the U.S. Navy; Evelyn, Mrs. Merrill Noble of Waterloo, Arlene, Mrs. Arlene Scremin of Waterloo, and Mildred, Mrs. Calvin Wolfswinkle of Mesa, Ariz. Mr. Seedorff spent his entire life on the farm he was born on. Aside from his farming he hauled milk to the Aurora Creamery for 25 years and was president of the creamery for many years. He served as secretary-treasurer of the local school board for many years. He was also a livestock dealer and sold feed and fertilizers for 20 years. He retired on the home farm in January 1955. He died Dec. 31, 1955 at 11:30 p.m. at the Memorial hospital at Manchester. Surviving are his wife, eight children, seven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Bowman of Warrensburg, Ill., and one brother, Earnest of Des Moines. Two brothers preceded him in death.
