Pallbearers were Tom Larsen, Jerome Fuchtman, Martin Libby, Mikes Gates, Delmar Andersen and Burn Kelly. Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Boggs, Joe Serres, Lawrence Kumm, Bill Cox, Bill McManigal and Ed Moser. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Albert C. Larsen was born August 14, 1908 at Walnut, NE to Chris and Anna Hendericksen Larsen. He was baptized at St Paul's Lutheran Church at Walnut. On September 2, 1933, he was united in marriage to Emma Urwin at the Methodist parsonage in O'Neill. To this union three children were born, Marcelene, Ernest "Dick" and Lyle. They began their married life on a farm in the Walnut community. In 1938 they moved to Winnetoon, where he started a salvage business. During WWII, he supplied iron for the government war effort. His favorite pastime was attending farm sales where he enjoyed visiting with the people. He knew people from miles around and could recall names and faces of people he hadn't seen in years. He was still enjoying the sales, rain or shine, until the past year when his health began to fail. He passed away Saturday, Mary 24, 1997, at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of 88 years. Survivors include his wife, Emma, children and their spouses, Marcelene of Creighton, Dick and Betty Larsen of Bloomfield and Lyle and Hazel Larsen of Creighton, seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four-step great grandchildren and a sister, Malinda Cross of Lake Andes, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, Harley Anderson, two sisters, Mary Ruzicka and Lenora Johnson and a brother in infancy. ...The Creighton News
