Description	:	Albert Carl Radke, son of Ferdinand and Dorothy Dean Radke, was born Nov 12, 1858, in Pommern, Germany, and passed to the great beyond Thursday, Dec 4, at 11 am., after a brief illness of 5 days of bronchial pneumonia, at his home in Taylor county, near Siam, aged 66 years and 22 days. He grew to manhood in Germany and served three years in the German army. Read More	Albert Carl Radke, son of Ferdinand and Dorothy Dean Radke, was born Nov 12, 1858, in Pommern, Germany, and passed to the great beyond Thursday, Dec 4, at 11 am., after a brief illness of 5 days of bronchial pneumonia, at his home in Taylor county, near Siam, aged 66 years and 22 days. He grew to manhood in Germany and served three years in the German army. At the age of 26 years he came with his parents, sisters and brother to America and located near Clarinda, and the following year became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.A. After two years residence near Clarinda he went to Tulare, South Dakota, where he met and married Miss Ida Ernestine Wegner on Dec 25, 1887. To this union three children were born, Arthur, at home, Ferd and Walter married and living in the Siam community. In Oct 1891, they left their South Dakota home and moved to Iowa where they have since resided, living the past 19 years on the farm they now occupy in Taylor county. In early life he joined the German Lutheran church, but later transferred his membership to the Church of Christ during a revival held in Siam by Rev Organ about 1908. Mr Radke ws a good friend and neighbor and well respected by all. He leaves to mourn their loss his devoted wife, three sons, two daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, one brother, Chas Radke of Clarinda, two sisters, Mrs Minnie Hennaman of Hawleyville and Mrs Pauline Lohmeyer of Optimo, New Mexico many nieces and nephews and a host of friends who are sad at his passing away. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Ray Snodgrass of Maryville, Mo., at the Church of Christ in Siam on Monday, Dec 8, at 1:30. Interment in Memory cemetery.
