Born 10, 1929 he was a native of Spartanburg County and was the son of the late Laurel Vaughn, and Effie Davidson Turner. He was a retired employee of Kohler Company, and a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a son Billy Wayne Turner; a granddaughter Angela Turner; four brothers: L.V., Walden, C.Y., and Austin Turner; three sisters: Opal Wilkerson, Virdell Biggerstaff, and Kathleen Brown. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Phil Bailey, Rev. Doug Turner, and Rev. Henry Johnson.
