Albert Edwin Burk, age 78, passed away on Monday; March 24, 2008 at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella; Marion County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife of 57 years: Emma Burk of Marysville, Iowa. His eight children: Raymond (Ruth) Burk of Wichita; Sedgwick County, Kansas. Marilyn (Mike) Beary of Lovilia, Iowa. Cindy Burk of Marysville, Iowa. Tom (Jill) Burk of Marysville, Iowa. Julie (Jeff) French of Bussey; Marion County, Iowa. Sally (Mark) Grimes of Marysville, Iowa. John (Teresa) Burk of Bussey, Iowa and Andrea (Orval) Shewry of Oskaloosa; Mahaska County, Iowa. His nineteen grandchildren and his fourteen great-grandchildren. His four sisters: Frances Machlan of Ottumwa; Wapello, Iowa. Thelma (Buddy) Pettyjohn of Oskaloosa; Mahaska County, Iowa. Faye (Lee) Starkovich and Kaye (Ray) Langebartel of Melcher-Dallas; Marion County, Iowa and his one brother: Marion (Lindy) Burk of Knoxville, Iowa. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters and three brothers. May they rest in peace. Funeral services were held on Thursday; March 27, 2008 at the funeral home with the Reverend Lois Williams officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Marysville Cemetery, rural Marion County, Iowa. Memorials in memory of Mr. Burk may be made to Hospice of Pella or Marysville Cemetery Association.
