Mr. Denbo, who was 77 years of age, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, at the local hospital. He had been in poor health for several years and entered the hospital on October 9. A son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Denbo, Albert E. Denbo was born December 20, 1886, at Corydon, Indiana. He moved with his parents to York, Nebraska, in early childhood and later to a farm southwest of Holdrege, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood. On January 27, 1912, he was united in marriage to Anna M. Kehr of Bertrand, Nebraska. They resided on a farm southeast of Bertrand until 1918 and then moved to a farm seven miles east and one-half mile north of Holyoke. They made their home there for four and a half years, then moved to the present Orval Denbo place, eight miles east and two and one-half miles south of Holyoke. Mr. and Mrs. Denbo came to Holyoke in 1948 and their home has been here since that time. Mr. Denbo had been a member of the Holyoke Lutheran church since 1947. Survivors include his wife, Anna; two sons, George E., Bertrand, Nebraska, and Orval, Holyoke; one daughter, Dora, Mrs. Lewis Dirks, Holyoke; one sister, Georgia, Mrs. Ernest Linner, Holdrege, Nebraska,; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding Mr. Denbo in death were his parents, two brothers and one sister. Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kehr, Norris Kehr and Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCracken, all of Bertrand, Nebraska; Lloyd Kehr and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kehr, Denver; Mrs. Adilade Denbo, Hamlet, Nebraska, and her daughter, Cleo, Palisade, Nebraska; Ramona and Dallas Denbo, Ogallala, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ungles, Palisade, Nebraska; Bill Berner, Steamboat Springs; Mrs. Jessie Pugh, Denver; and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Spicknell and daughter, Mrs. Virginia Korf, Eckley.
