To this union were born: Dorothy Mary 1912; Richard Albert 1914; Raymond Crafts 1915; Emma Josephine 1920; Mary Ardell 1930; and Albert Eugene 1932. Albert E. Cummings Albert E. Cummings passed away at his home in Rumney Village Sunday afternoon, April 19, following a long-illness. Mr. Cummings was born in North Groton on June 16, 1899, a son of Ira and Effie (Bailey) Cummings. He received his education in the local schools of Groton and West Rumney. In the year of 1911, her married Lela Crafts, daughter of Samuel and Emily (Edwards) Crafts. To them where born 6 children which, with the widow, remain to mourn his loss. He also leaves 3 sisters, one brother, three grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew. Mr. Cummings spent the great part of his life working in various local woodworking establishments, and was known to be one of the most efficient in his line of work. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the home. Rev. Earl W. Beal officiating. Burial at the cemetery in West Rumney Wednesday afternoon. The bearers were Austin Farnsworth, Leo Stewart, Orlo Thompson and John Thompson. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Jewett Crafts of Newport, Vt., Leslie Crafts, St. Johnsbury, Vt., Mrs. Gladys Hinxman of Wellesley Hills, Mass., Ray Bailey of Woodsville.
