Burial was made in the Holyoke cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Arnold, Harvey Locke, Ray Hogsett, Sam Rouze, John Walgren and Frank Hughes. Albert F. Chandler, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Sylvanius Chandler, was born March 23, 1863 at Mitchellville in Polk County, Iowa. When he was 16 years old, he became a member of the Christian church. He was married to Miss Effie Marmon in August 1890, at Montezuma, Iowa. To this union there were born three children. In the spring of 1910 Mr. Chandler and his family moved from Iowa to Colorado, locating on a homestead in the southeastern part of Phillips County. The original Chandler homestead remained his place of residence during the rest of his life. Survivors are a son, Lee Chandler of Holyoke; one daughter, Mrs. Lela Vandre of Pueblo; one sister, Mrs. Susie Barneyback of Seattle, Washington; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died April 16, 1935, and a son, Ray, whose death occurred August 17, 1936.
