He had been brought to the hospital a short tine earlier, having taken ill during the day. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2:00 p.m. in the Wright Funeral home. Rev. W. C. Heidenreich will be in charge and burial will be in the Ash Hollow cemetery. He was born August 31, 1875 at Decatur, Illinois, and came to Nebraska by himself while still a boy. His home was in Dawson county for many years. In 1899 he was united in marriage with Evelyn Henry of Cozad. One son, Leslie, was born to this union and he survives the deceased. Mrs. Fisher passed away in April of 1938. Fishers moved to Lewellen in 1936 from Cozad and he purchased the Mardis cabin camp and home. During the last few years he farmed in the Lewellen community. During the past few years he has been suffering from a heart ailment but it was not considered serious. He became worse Tuesday morning and within a few hours had passed away. Survivors include his son, Leslie; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. One grandson, Burton Fisher, is serving in the armed forces in Korea.
