The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R. W. Schricker at Zion Lutheran Church Sunday. The Church Choir sang, accompanied by Miss Ruth Ann Urban. Pallbearers were Freemond Bartling, Harry Nelson, Walter Pfeiffer, Fred T. Panning, Chris Jacobsen and Wayne Uehling of Uehling. Interment was in the Hooper Cemetery, with Wollmer & Warne in charge. Albert Fritz was born March 6, 1873, in Germany, the son of Frederick and Dorothy (Maier) Fritz. He came to Fremont at the age of 14, and was an apprenticed baker for several years. He left Stuttgardt to join his brothers Chris, Ernest and Carl. On April 28, 1895, he married Charlotte Uehling in Fremont, and they came to Hooper, to reside, and they had since made their home here. Mr. Fritz was Hooper's barber for 54 years, and took an active part in the business activities in Hooper. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1945. After the death of his wife, Oct. 31, 1949, he made his home with his two daughters, Charlotte and Alberta at Hooper. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith, and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Fritz was a kind and loving husband and father, a devoted grandfather and a good neighbor. He was well liked by all who knew him. He lived a long and full life, and contributed much good toward the world. He well be remembered as one of the Hooper residents who made this a better town in which to live.
