Mr. Adams was the son... Read More	A. GRANVILLE ADAMS DIES IN NEW YORK Pocomoke City Man Succumbed Sunday Night HAD BEEN ILL FOR SEVERAL MONTHS A. Granville Adams, age 54, of Pocomoke City, Md., succumbed to an attack of heart disease at the Cornell Hospital in New York City, on last Sunday night, after being ill for several months. Mr. Adams, who was taken ill at his home in Pocomoke City a short time ago went to Cornell Hospital for treatment and, to be near his son, Dr. Granville Quinn Adams, who is a surgeon at that institution. Mr. Adams was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Adams, former residents of Westover, Somerset County, where he was born. For several years he was employed by the N.Y.P. and N.R.R. Co., as telegraph operator, agent, and electrician. He resigned this position about six years ago to enter into the Florist business, which was run under the name of Mrs. A. G. Adams, Pocomoke City florists. Mr. Adams was a man possessing a quiet demeanor. He was sincere, honest, and a loving husband, and father. He was a member of M. E. Church. He was well known in railroad circles, and his kindly nature has made for him a wide circle of friends on the lower Peninsula, who will mourn his loss. He is survived by his wife, who before her marriage was Miss Annie M. Quinn, sister of Messrs. L. C. Quinn, Sr. and William S. Quinn of Crisfield. He is also survived by a son, Dr. Granville Quinn Adams, Surgeon at Cornell Hospital, New York. Three sisters and two brothers also survive him. They are Miss Alma E. Adams, Mrs. Myra Neidhardt, Mrs. Edward Hutchinson, Mr. Olin D. Adams, and Mr. John Dale Adams, all of Camden, N.J. Funeral services were held from his late home on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. conducted by Rev. David L. Quinn, Chaplain of the United State Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., a nephew of the deceased by marriage. He was assisted by Reverends Ditto, Venable, and Kelso.
