Description	:	Albert Jedediah Carvell Jed entered eternal life Oct. 13, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He died at his home in Rileyville, Va., only yards from the house he was born in, on July 6, 1932. He has joined his parents, Virginia and Frank Carvell; his brother, Franklin and wife Betty Lou Carvell; and his brother, Buck Carvell. Jed was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and later became a vehicle mechanic, working for himself along with Roger Miller in Falls Church, Va. He died at his home in Rileyville, Va., only yards from the house he was born in, on July 6, 1932. He has joined his parents, Virginia and Frank Carvell; his brother, Franklin and wife Betty Lou Carvell; and his brother, Buck Carvell. He will be truly missed by all those who survive him: his wife, Betty Carvell; sister Marilyn Gladwell and husband Guy Gladwell; sister-in-law Elaine Carvell; son Randy Carvell and wife Rhonda Carvell; daughters, Kimberly Blair and Robin Harlowe and husband Berry Harlowe; granddaughters Shanna Carvell, Jessica and Jennifer Blair, and Madeline and Emma Harlowe; grandson Joshua Harlowe; stepdaughters Stephanie Leming and husband Stephen Leming, and Kati Scharles; and his two step great-grandchildren, Austin and Mackenzie Leming. The family will receive friends at the Bradley Funeral Home, 187 E. Main St., Luray, from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. 2012 A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Bradley Funeral Home. (Page News and Courier Paid Obituary) He is survived by a son, Randy Carvell, his wife, Rhonda of Manassas, two daughters, Kimberly Blair of Spotsylvania and Robin Carvell-Harlowe, her husband Barry of Lovettsville, a sister, Marilyn Gladwell, her husband Guy, 6 grandchildren, Shanna Carvell, Jessica Blair, Jennifer Blair, Madeline Harlowe, Emma Harlowe and Joshua Harlowe, two step-granddaughters, Stephanie Leming, Katie Scharles and two great-step-grandchildren.
