He died Aug. 28 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah. Pastor Glenn Kappelmann will officiate, with Felstul Funeral Home of Decorah in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins today (Thursday) at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and continues one hour before services Friday at the church. Oganist is Mark Baumann, accompanying the congregation. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery. Albert Moen was born Dec. 19, 1908, in Waukson, the son of Albert J. and Clara (Stinson) Moen. He graduated from Decorah High School and attended Luther College for two years. He married the former Ruby S. Woldum June 29, 1931, in Spokane, Wash. He had worked for the Wepler Grocery Store, and worked for his uncle in his grocery store in Pasco, Wash. he later returned to Decorah in 1934 and worked for the Soil Conservation Program. he started farming, and after farming he worked for the Farm Service Company in Decorah. After his retirement he worked for the Northeast Iowa Transit Authority. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; three children, Joan (Mrs. Clinton) Yarwood of Broken Arrow, Okla., Donald Moen of Topsoil Beach, N.C., and Loren Moen, New Hampton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister (Mary Moen) and one brother (Frank). Ab's home was the grandchildren's home also.
